DSCC spokesperson Stewart Boss released the following statement in response to failed candidate Scott Taylor’s announcement that he will run for Senate in Virginia:
“Virginians remember why they already rejected Scott Taylor: voting 98 percent with President Trump instead of with the people he was elected to represent, his work for a dark money group, and his votes to raise taxes on Virginia families and gut protections for Virginians with pre-existing conditions. Taylor couldn’t defend this record last year, and now he’ll also have to explain his ties to indicted Congressman Duncan Hunter, including why he accepted campaign cash from Hunter after he had been indicted. Virginians aren’t strangers to Taylor’s shady brand of self-serving politics, and they’ll make sure this campaign is another one of Taylor’s failures.”
