TODAY: McSally, Republicans Could Stop Their Lawsuit to End Protections for Pre-Existing Conditions, Maternity Care & Other Critical Policies

**Similar releases were sent on Senators Cory Gardner, Joni Ernst, David Perdue, Susan Collins, Thom Tillis and John Cornyn.**

Following Republicans’ “stunning escalation” in a lawsuit to dismantle the Affordable Care Act, Democrats are taking action to stop the Department of Justice from fighting to overturn the entire health care law, which would erase popular health care protections like guaranteed coverage for pre-existing conditions, maternity care and allowing children to remain on their parent’s insurance plans until age 26.

Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee communications director Lauren Passalacqua issued the following statement:

“Martha McSally has voted over and over again to risk protections for pre-existing conditions and make health insurance more expensive – and worse, she has lied about it. Today, McSally can do something different: join with Democrats to stop the GOP’s lawsuit that would spike costs and jeopardize the most basic, essential coverage for hard working Arizonans.”
