In response to Representatives and U.S. Senate candidates Buddy Carter and Mike Collins voting to block a bipartisan effort to extend Affordable Care Act tax credits and stop health care costs from skyrocketing, Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee Spokesperson Joe Bush released the following statement:
“Buddy Carter and Mike Collins tried to block a bipartisan bill to stop health care costs from skyrocketing for Georgia families. By voting against extending Affordable Care Act tax credits, Carter and Collins have cost hundreds of thousands of Georgians their coverage and forced families to pay hundreds more each year for health care. In 2026, Georgians will remember the politicians who abandoned them when they needed help, and will hold Republicans accountable for it at the ballot box.”
