DSCC Announces Funding For Organizing Staff In MT & OH

Today the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee (DSCC) is announcing a new eight figure investment commitment to fund on the ground organizing staff in Montana and Ohio.

This is the DSCC’s initial investment in direct voter contact programs and organizing staff, and additional states and funding will be announced as the cycle continues.

The DSCC previously announced funding for Command Center offices in five states (Montana, Nevada, Ohio, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin), and funding for on the ground staff focused on Republican accountability in 9 states (Arizona, Montana, Michigan, Nevada, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, Florida and Texas.)

“The DSCC’s investments in sustained, effective grassroots organizing will lay the groundwork for our campaigns to win tough races,” said DSCC Chair Sen. Gary Peters. “This election will determine the future of our country, and we look forward to joining with voters, volunteers and community leaders to defend Democrats’ Senate majority that is fighting for the priorities that matter most to hard working Americans.”

The DSCC’s new investment will fund staff focused on:

  • Field organizing;
  • Field training programs to increase volunteer capacity;
  • Data and analytics;
  • Voting access and protection;
  • And building meaningful outreach to communities of color and specific constituencies.
