This week marks 100 days since Senate Republicans and GOP Senate candidates opposed the bipartisan border security legislation that would secure the border, crack down on fentanyl trafficking, and keep Americans safe. 

The border security legislation was endorsed by Border Patrol agents, the acting chief of U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP), and the U.S. Chamber of Commerce

  • In Arizona, Kari Lake said she was “absolutely opposed” to the bipartisan border security bill. 
  • In Florida, Sen. Rick Scott “took the lead” in opposing the border security bill. 
  • In Michigan, Mike Rogers opposed the bipartisan border security bill. 
  • In Montana, Tim Sheehy opposed the bipartisan border security bill.
  • In Pennsylvania, David McCormick was “very vocal” about his opposition to the bipartisan bill. 
  • In Wisconsin, Eric Hovde “bashed” the bipartisan border bill, calling it ​​“rotten” and “crazy.”
