Days after news that Roy Blunt’s campaign manager and son opened a new lobbying firm, two of the senator’s former staffers merged their own lobbying shops and announced a new client list that includes Koch Industries, the NRA, Halliburton and Northrop Grumman. Despite the near–constant questions about the conflicts of interest between the Blunt lobbying ties and the Senator’s priorities in Washington, the Blunts found time to celebrate another special interest connection.
To my former staffers,
Congratulations on expanding your lobbying shop! I’m so proud of you. If you ever need my help on anything, please feel free to reach out. I’m always looking out for my K Street friends!
Love, Senator Roy Blunt
(& Andy, too)
“Senator Blunt has not only failed to see the problem his conflicts of interest create, but has continued to support the interests of the clients his son represents,” said Lauren Passalacqua, DSCC National Press Secretary. “The questions about where Senator’s Blunt interests lie grow by the day, and Missourians deserve to have a senator who is looking out for them.”
