BREAKING: Rubio, Toomey, Young, Johnson, Burr Stand With Trump After He Brags of Sexual Harassment

The recently revealed tapes featuring Donald Trump demeaning women and bragging about sexual assault showed the worst of Washington: politicians who run from Trump to save their careers, and politicians who stick by him, also to save their political careers. Either way they’re all responsible for building the Party of Trump. You can decide which class is worse, but it takes a special brand of cowardice to stick with Trump as Senators Marco Rubio, Pat Toomey, Ron Johnson, and Richard Burr, and Congressman Todd Young are doing.

–        After staying silent for three days, Senator Marco Rubio must have gotten polling back that says abandoning Trump would hurt his 2020 Presidential ambitions, because he just confirmed he’s still all in for the Republican nominee

–        Senator Pat Toomey says the video has left him “unpersuaded…” that a tape admitting to sexual assault is a good enough reason not to support Trump

–        Senator Burr forgave Trump because he’s “an entertainer

–        Congressman Todd Young thinks that with a GOP Congress to enact Trump’s reckless agenda, Trump could be “effective

–        Not only is Senator Ron Johnson committed to supporting Trump, he’s going all in on the Trump campaign’s talking points…which is blaming the Clintons

“The only thing more shocking than Donald Trump bragging about sexually assaulting women is that Republican Senators and Senate candidates are still supporting him for president,” said Lauren Passalacqua, DSCC National Press Secretary. “In sticking with Trump, Republicans like Marco Rubio, Pat Toomey, Richard Burr, Todd Young and Ron Johnson are condoning his behavior, and that is just disgusting and wrong. Voters will hold these candidates accountable for their cowardice at the polls in November.”
