Yesterday marked the point at which Senator Chuck Grassley has spent exactly half of his life serving in Congress.
After spending half of his life in Congress, Chuck Grassley is woefully out of touch with Iowans, which has recently been highlighted by Grassley’s Supreme Court obstruction. Grassley is helping to lead Republicans in their unprecedented blockade of the Supreme Court, even though a majority of Iowans want the vacancy to be filled this year.
“Chuck Grassley’s tenure in Congress has left him out of touch with the people he was elected to represent,” said Lauren Passalacqua, DSCC National Press Secretary. “Grassley’s support for the obstruction of the Supreme Court nomination shows that he does not have Iowa’s interests at heart, and Iowans deserve better from their Senator.”
