The Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee today announced Scott Fairchild will serve as Executive Director for the 2020 campaign cycle. Fairchild has worked for two years as Chief of Staff to incoming DSCC Chairwoman Senator Catherine Cortez Masto, and successfully managed her 2016 Senate campaign.
“In our fight to elect a Democratic majority, we need experienced strategists who understand the hard work that goes into winning tough campaigns and Scott has shown time and again he knows how to win,” said Senator Cortez Masto. “I trust Scott will help lead our candidates to success in the cycle ahead, and look forward to continuing our work together.”
“Democrats head into 2020 well positioned to win back the Senate,” said DSCC spokeswoman Lauren Passalacqua. “Our aggressive work on a favorable map starts by making sure both the DSCC and Senate campaigns are staffed with top flight talent ready to take full advantage of the offensive opportunities we have this cycle.”
Prior to his work for Senator Cortez Masto, Fairchild served as national campaigns director for the League of Conservation Voters, a chief of staff in Congress and as campaign manager for Rahm Emanuel’s successful mayoral bid in 2011.
