On the anniversary of the January 6th insurrection, DSCC Chair Senator Gary Peters issued the following statement:
“The horrific events of January 6th are a reminder that Americans must always stand firm against the lies and conspiracy theories that contributed to the attack on our Capitol – and are still consuming the Republican Party today. In 2024, voters will once again make clear that Republican candidates who endorse, excuse, or fail to stand up to these attacks on our democracy and undermine the peaceful transition of power have no place in the U.S. Senate.”
