In response to the Republican Supreme Court’s ruling overturning Roe v. Wade, today the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee (DSCC) is releasing a new video highlighting GOP Senate candidates’ own words and records opposing women’s right to make their own health care decisions.
From Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee Executive Director Christie Roberts: “Today’s decision is the culmination of Republicans’ efforts to strip away women’s rights to make our own decisions about our health care. The stakes of the election have never been higher – in the weeks since the Supreme Court’s ruling was leaked, Republican Senate candidates have made it clear they stand in lockstep with their party’s agenda to make abortion illegal everywhere, without exceptions for rape, incest and the life of the mother, and impose new, cruel, and punishing restrictions on women and families. Americans want a Senate that will focus on lowering costs and rebuilding our economy – not attacking women’s rights to make our own health care choices – that’s why they will vote to expand and protect Democrats’ Senate majority in November.”
