Trump Cards the latest in DSCC’s sustained “Party of Trump” campaign
DSCC released “Support” video in March
Now that Donald Trump is the presumptive GOP presidential nominee, Republican Senators and Senate candidates are desperately trying to find ways to distance themselves from the toxic and divisive candidate they’ve spent months pledging to support. But regardless of how they try to hide from the onslaught of Trump-related questions sure to dominate the next six months, they won’t be able to separate themselves from the policy positions they share with Trump. Senator John Cornyn, the number 2 Senate Republican, even admitted recently that a Republican Senate would be necessary to enact Trump’s policies.
Today, the DSCC is releasing individual “Trump Cards” to highlight these shared policy positions that would be devastating for America’s hard-working middle class families. The “Trump Cards” are the latest in the DSCC’s sustained “Party of Trump” campaign. Learn more about Trump’s ties to Republican Senators and candidates at www.PartyofTrump.com.
The DSCC is also releasing cards for Ron Johnson, Mark Kirk, Roy Blunt, Richard Burr, John McCain, Chuck Grassley, John Boozman, Rand Paul, Joe Heck, and Todd Young.
“Not only do Republican Senators and Senate candidates support Donald Trump, but they share many of his damaging policy positions,” said Lauren Passalacqua, DSCC National Press Secretary. “As Republicans attempt some tricky gymnastics to separate from Trump while also supporting him, the DSCC will continue holding them accountable for their dangerous shared agendas that are harmful for hard-working middle class families.”
