In response to the new Center on Budget and Policy Priorities report that the Cassidy-Graham-Heller health care bill would “gut protections for people with pre-existing conditions,” Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee spokesman David Bergstein issued the following statement:
“This report is another demonstration that Senator Heller is the kind of hypocritical politician who is only ever looking out for himself: he promised Nevadans that he would safeguard protections for Nevadans with pre-existing conditions and protect his state’s Medicaid coverage – instead he’s spiking costs and stripping away coverage. Voters will remember Senator Heller’s broken promises in 2018 and hold him and every GOP Senate candidate accountable for this toxic plan.”
