DSCC Statement on First 10 Drugs Subject to Price Negotiations

In response to the announcement of the first 10 drugs selected for Medicare price cutting negotiations – made possible by the Inflation Reduction Act –  Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee spokesperson Tommy Garcia issued the following statement:

“Senate Democrats are fighting to address working Americans’ most pressing priorities – and now Medicare can negotiate to cut the cost of prescription drugs. Every Senate Republican opposed this proposal, putting the interests of their Big Pharma backers who get rich by keeping prices high over hardworking families. Voters see this clear contrast, and that’s why in 2024 they will elect Senate Democrats.”
