In response to the vote on the motion to proceed to the bipartisan infrastructure deal, Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee spokesperson Jazmin Vargas released the following statement:
“Senate Democrats have taken another major step towards delivering an infrastructure plan that will grow millions of good-paying American jobs by investing in our roads, highways, bridges, clean drinking water, and high speed internet. This proposal has earned the support of Republicans and Democrats –– but Senate Republicans like Ron Johnson continue voting against it, and they keep showing their constituents they care more about obstruction and petty politics than delivering for their states.”
