In response to Mehmet Oz’s interview with NBC News’ Dasha Burns, Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee spokesperson Patrick Burgwinkle issued the following statement:
“Even TV quack Mehmet Oz can’t defend or even discuss his own record on camera because it’s so out-of-touch with Pennsylvania voters. When he was asked about gun violence, he couldn’t name a single bill he’d support to make Pennsylvania safer. And when questioned about abortion, he refused to back a woman’s right to make her own health care decisions. Oz is a total fraud and a scam artist who will do and say anything for his own benefit – and that’s exactly why Pennsylvanians cannot trust him to serve in the U.S. Senate.”
