In response to Senate Democrats today passing legislation to reform and aid the U.S. Postal Service – despite opposition from Republican Senators Rubio and Johnson – Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee spokesperson David Bergstein released the following statement:
“Senate Democrats are taking action to help hard-working Americans and small businesses get essential deliveries like prescription drugs faster, cheaper, and on time. While Democrats are fighting to address working families’ most important priorities, if Republicans like Johnson and Rubio had their way, delivery prices would be higher, and important shipments like life-saving medicine would be less reliable – and today’s vote is another clear demonstration that Johnson and Rubio have no interest in doing anything except pushing the agenda of the ultra-wealthy and big corporations.”
