The DSCC released the following statement from Communications Director Justin Barasky on the fallout from Speaker Boehner’s retirement announcement:
“Speaker Boehner’s resignation is a symptom of the Republican Party’s own failed leadership, as once more they have driven their party even further to the right. The dysfunctional Republican Senate will now become even less able to hide their inability to govern responsibly as their tenuous grasp on the majority continues to slip away. We wish Speaker Boehner well in his future endeavors.”
