IN THE STATES: Senate Democrats “Relish Chance to Run on Obamacare After Trump Floats Repeal.”

Following Donald Trump’s renewed promise to repeal the Affordable Care Act if elected, state parties in Senate battlegrounds and Democratic Senate campaigns continued to highlight the importance of this issue in 2024 Senate races, calling out Senate Republican candidates for their plans to spike costs and gut coverage protections for Americans with pre-existing conditions.

Here is a look at how Senate Republicans are on defense on health care in races across the country:

• In Arizona, the Arizona Democratic Party highlighted Kari Lake’s support for Trump’s push to repeal the ACA.

• In Florida, Debbie Mucarsel-Powell highlighted Rick Scott’s long record of fighting to strip millions of Floridians of affordable health care coverage.

• In Wisconsin, the Democratic Party of Wisconsin released a video, highlighting Eric Hovde’s call to “defund every aspect of the ACA,” including his specific comment about wanting to repeal coverage for people with pre-existing conditions.
