DSCC Communications Director Sadie Weiner released the following statement after the Koch-backed group Concerned Veterans for America announced their effort to prop up vulnerable Nevada candidate Congressman Joe Heck:
“Congressman Joe Heck is already running scared in Nevada. He’s refusing to give a clear answer on where he stands on Mitch McConnell’s plan to obstruct the constitutional process with the Supreme Court and he is about to be dragged down by the top of his ticket. So, it’s no surprise that the Koch Brothers are swooping in to prop up their candidate who has voted with Koch interests nearly 90 percent of the time this Congress and 100 percent of the time in 2013. Unfortunately for Congressman Heck, no amount of Koch-backed dark money will erase his long record as a Washington insider voting against Nevada’s best interests.”
