Larry Hogan Reaffirms Support for a MAGA Senate Majority on Campaign Trail, First Ad Funded by National Republicans

The Associated Press reported today that Republican Larry Hogan is not backing away from his party affiliation on the campaign trail.

• “Hogan confirmed that he would caucus with Republicans in Washington.”

• “He also vowed not to leave the GOP after the election, even if Trump returns to the White House.”

• “‘I’m a real Republican,’ Hogan told The Associated Press.”

This comes as Hogan releases his first ad, which was “half bankrolled” by Mitch McConnell and the NRSC, which describes itself as “the only national organization solely devoted to strengthening the Republican Senate Majority and electing Republicans to the United States Senate.”

From DSCC spokesperson Amanda Sherman Baity: “Marylanders know that electing Republican Larry Hogan would turn the Senate over to MAGA Republicans so they can pass a national abortion ban and push forward Republicans’ extreme policies. That’s a disqualifying agenda for Maryland voters.”
