On the anniversary of the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) approving the world’s first commercially produced birth-control pill, Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee (DSCC) spokesperson Annie Lentz issued the following statement:
“Senate Republicans will stop at nothing to control women’s right to make our own decisions about our bodies — from overturning Roe v. Wade and banning abortion nationwide without exceptions to threatening access to contraception like birth control pills. Voters will hold every GOP Senate candidate accountable for their party’s dangerous agenda that threatens women’s reproductive freedom.”
