State Rep. Braun Still Supporting GOP Effort To Make Pre-Existing Coverage Unconstitutional

It’s been more than a week since Republicans announced their latest, stunning effort to make coverage for pre-existing conditions unconstitutional and new reports confirm this decision could impactemployer-provided coverage, as well – impacting thousands more Hoosiers in addition to the more than 2.7 million Hoosiers who have pre-existing conditions. Still, State Representative Braun is supporting the GOP’s health care agenda that jeopardizes coverage for pre-existing conditions.

“After a week spent refusing to stand up for Hoosiers who want insurance companies to cover pre-existing conditions, it’s clear Rep. Braun is once again putting his own political self-interests ahead of his state,” said Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee spokesman David Bergstein. “Braun supported a plan in Congress that would jeopardize coverage for pre-existing conditions, spike premiums, and impose an age tax on older Americans – so it’s no surprise he is refusing to speak out against this new attempt to sabotage Hoosiers’ health care.”
