Third Poll This Summer Shows Kander In Striking Distance of Vulnerable Senator Blunt

In the latest sign of Senator Roy Blunt’s vulnerability, yet another poll shows Jason Kander within the margin of error of his incumbent. The Monmouth University poll released today shows the race at 48% – 43%, with a margin of error of + / – 4.9 percentage points. Both a Mason-Dixon Polling & Research poll and a PPP poll last month also found the race within the margin of error.

“Consistent polling this summer has shown that Missourians are frustrated with Senator Roy Blunt and his long record of putting his special interest backers and lobbyist family members ahead of hard-working Missouri families,” said Lauren Passalacqua, DSCC National Press Secretary. “Jason Kander has the momentum in one of the most competitive campaigns of the cycle as Missouri voters continue to back his middle class priorities.”
