The DSCC released a new TV ad in Arizona’s Senate race, “Essentially End,” highlighting Senator Martha McSally’s record of saying one thing to Arizonans but doing another thing in Washington.
Senator McSally promised Arizonans that she’d protect Medicare, but her record in Washington suggests the opposite. The unelected senator voted to cut nearly $500 billion from Medicare and end guaranteed health coverage for seniors. And despite her promises to protect the program that Arizona seniors rely on, Senator McSally backed a plan that would “essentially end” Medicare. It’s just part of a larger pattern from McSally of telling Arizonans she’d safeguard their health care, but voting to take it away in Washington.
The ad is the second to run in Arizona from the DSCC IE and is part of the committee’s previously announced offensive television and digital paid investments in key battleground states.
Transcript:
“There are two Martha McSallys. Here in Arizona, this Martha McSally said she’d protect Medicare. But out in Washington, there’s another Martha McSally. That Martha McSally voted to cut nearly five hundred billion from Medicare and eliminate guaranteed coverage for seniors. The Wall Street Journal said the plan McSally backed would essentially end Medicare. Martha McSally. You can’t believe a thing she says here when you look at what she does there.”
