DSCC Releases New TV Ad in Arizona: “Lot To Say”

The DSCC released a new TV ad in Arizona’s Senate race, “Lot to Say,” highlighting Senator Martha McSally’s record of saying she will do what’s right for Arizona but doing another thing in Washington.

Senator McSally has misled voters about her position on health care, earning four Pinocchios for pushing “a lie” about her record to dismantle or weaken coverage protections for pre-existing conditions. The unelected senator has repeatedly voted to gut pre-existing conditions protections and insisted it is “not [her] role” to oppose the GOP lawsuit that would strike down the entire Affordable Care Act, gutting protections for the 2.8 million Arizonans with a pre-existing condition. Despite promising to protect Medicare, she backed a plan that would “essentially end” the program that Arizona seniors rely on.

Lot to Say

The ad is the first to run in Arizona from the DSCC IE and is part of the committee’s previously announced offensive television and digital paid investments in key battleground states.

Transcript:

“Martha McSally has a lot to say, but look closely at what she does. Martha McSally said she’d protect Medicare, but backed a plan to essentially end Medicare. McSally says she’ll protect people with pre-existing conditions, but voted to gut protections for pre-existing conditions eight times. No wonder they gave McSally four Pinocchios and flat out called her claims a lie. Martha McSally, you can’t believe a thing she says ”
