DSCC spokesperson Stewart Boss released the following statement on the Supreme Court’s decision to hear the GOP lawsuit to end protections for pre-existing conditions coverage:
“As long as Mitch McConnell is Majority Leader, coverage protections for millions of Americans with pre-existing conditions are under threat. Republican incumbents like Susan Collins, Martha McSally, Cory Gardner, Joni Ernst, Thom Tillis, David Perdue, and John Cornyn have all repeatedly voted to repeal and sabotage the health care law and dismantle its core protections and benefits — and if this lawsuit succeeds, it will be because every Senate Republican supported the irresponsible tax giveaway that set this legal attack in motion. This is the single most important issue in Senate battlegrounds across the country, and the decision today is a powerful reminder for voters that Republicans in Washington cannot be trusted to protect their health care.”
