Today, as the Republican Supreme Court hears arguments in Moyle v. United States, a case concerning bans on access to abortion in life-threatening emergencies, Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee spokesperson Annie Lentz released the following statement:
“Republicans are using every tool they have, from the courts to Congress, to ban abortion and take away women’s right to make medical decisions for themselves – even in the case of a life-threatening emergency. This case is a clear reminder of the stakes of the Senate election, and the importance of protecting Democrats’ Senate majority with the power to confirm or deny Supreme Court justices. In November, voters will hold every Republican Senate candidate accountable for their toxic agenda that threatens women’s freedoms, their reproductive health care, and their lives.”
