The DSCC released a new TV ad in Iowa’s Senate race, “End,” spotlighting Senator Joni Ernst’s toxic record of pushing to end Social Security as we know it.
Ernst has supported plans that would privatize Social Security and let retirement savings be gambled on the stock market, a scheme that could let her special interest donors “reap billions of dollars” while hardworking Iowans pay the price. And Ernst knows how harmful these plans would be to Iowa seniors –– that’s why she pushed to “gut Social Security ‘behind closed doors’” to avoid being “scrutinized.” Ernst promised she would make Washington squeal when she got to the Senate, but the reality is Washington is as broken as ever and Ernst is part of the problem.
The ad is the ninth to run in Iowa from the DSCC IE and is part of the committee’s previously announced offensive investments in key battleground states.
