DSCC Releases New TV Ad in Montana: “Money Talks”

The DSCC released its first TV ad in Montana’s Senate race, “Money Talks,” focusing on Senator Steve Daines’ record of putting himself first instead of what is right for Montana.

Senator Daines worked for Procter & Gamble opening factories in China as the company was eliminating American jobs. In Washington, Senator Daines earned a reputation as a “China cheerleader” and “China’s ambassador in Congress.” He has also taken hundreds of thousands of dollars from drug and insurance companies and has voted repeatedly to gut protections for Montanans with pre-existing conditions.
The ad is part of the committee’s first wave of advertising for the 2020 election cycle and will begin airing today as part of the DSCC’s previously announced offensive investments in key battleground states.

Money Talks

Transcript:

“Money talks. For Steve Daines, it always has. As a businessman, Daines spent six years in China opening factories there as his company eliminated jobs here. Daines was paid well, and now he’s one of the richest members of the Senate. In D.C., Daines has taken $700,000 from drug and insurance companies and voted four times to gut protections for pre-existing conditions. When money talks, Steve Daines listens. Can’t trust him to be for Montana.”
