DSCC National Press Secretary, Lauren Passalacqua issued the following statement after Todd Young was ruled eligible for the Indiana Senate ballot:
“The NRSC’s chosen candidate in Indiana nearly failed to pass the basic prerequisite of actually qualifying for the primary. The ongoing issue surrounding Todd Young’s ballot eligibility raises major questions about his capacity to run a statewide campaign, and has created divisions within the party that will further weaken both Young and the Indiana GOP. This embarrassment will force Republicans to devote even more resources to a state they took for granted, and is yet another opportunity for a Democratic pickup.”
