In response to the Alabama Supreme Court ruling jeopardizing in vitro fertilization and other forms of fertility care by granting legal personhood to frozen embryos, Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee spokesperson Katarina Flicker issued the following statement:
“After the Republican Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade the GOP is continuing to use every tool at their disposal — from the courts to Congress — to restrict women’s freedom to make our own health care decisions. The stakes of the 2024 election could not be higher: Republican Senate candidates have backed their party’s toxic agenda to take away women’s right to make our most personal choices about our health care and our families, and in November voters will respond by rejecting them at the ballot box.”
