In response to the passage of a continuing resolution to avert a government shutdown, Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee spokesperson Tommy Garcia issued the following statement:
“Make no mistake: averting a government shutdown was the product of a Democratic Senate Majority. While Republican Senate candidates cheered on a shutdown that would have raised costs, risked Social Security, and disrupted services Americans rely on – Senate Democrats set the tone for common sense solutions and bipartisanship.”
