In response to tonight’s Georgia U.S. Senate debate, Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee spokesperson Amanda Sherman-Baity issued the following statement:
“There wasn’t a single Georgia voter watching this debate who thinks Herschel Walker is ready to represent their state in the Senate. As Georgians have come to expect from Walker, he couldn’t explain his lies about his past, and he couldn’t defend his support for out-of-touch policies like a national ban on abortion with no exceptions – and did anyone even know what he was blaming people with diabetes for? The contrast tonight was clear – Walker isn’t ready to represent Georgia, and voters will send Reverend Warnock back to the Senate in November.”
