Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee spokesperson Stewart Boss released the following statement on Tax Day:
“Tax Day is yet another reminder of how Republicans used their power in Washington to give the rich and corporate special interests a massive giveaway while spiking the deficit, putting Medicare and Social Security at risk, increasing health care costs for millions, and laying the groundwork for the dangerous GOP lawsuit to end protections for people with pre-existing conditions. In battleground races across the country last cycle, Republican politicians running on their party’s reckless tax plan were rejected by voters. Voters will hold Republican Senators like Cory Gardner, Susan Collins, Thom Tillis, Martha McSally, David Perdue and Joni Ernst accountable for voting for a tax bill that prioritizes Wall Street and K Street instead of putting regular families first and protecting their health care.”
