DSCC Statement on the Six-Month Anniversary of the Democratic Senate Majority

To mark the six-month anniversary of the Democratic Senate Majority, Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee Chairman Senator Gary Peters released the following statement: 

“In six months Senate Democrats have delivered for the American people: we’ve cut taxes for middle class families, helped small businesses reopen and grow jobs, and delivered the resources and vaccines our country needs. While Republicans stand in the way of action on voters’ top priorities, Democrats are keeping our promises and getting results — and in 2022 that contrast for voters will be perfectly clear.” 

During the past six months Senate Democrats have:

• Delivered $1400 relief checks.
• Secured an average tax cut of $4,380 to nearly 40 million families with children.
• Lowered health care cost for millions of Americans.
• Accelerated access to vaccines and testing.
• Strengthened our economy by helping small businesses reopen and create jobs.
• Provided additional local funding to help schools reopen safely.
