Today Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee communications director David Bergstein released the following statement:
“Trump is all but certain to lead the GOP ticket, and that’s the worst possible outcome for Republican Senate candidates. He energizes Democrats, alienates independent voters, and will make the infighting in GOP primaries even worse. Now Republican Senate candidates will spend the next months answering for every word that comes out of Trump’s mouth.”
