This morning, the Koch Brothers announced $30 million worth of television and digital advertising in Senate races, to go along with $12.4 million already spent this year. To no one’s surprise, one of the top beneficiaries of this Koch cash is Senator Pat Toomey who has long been a favorite of the Kochs. Toomey’s been a loyal ally for the Koch Brothers in the Senate, voting with them 96 percent of the time at the expense of hard-working Pennsylvania families.
“It’s no surprise that the Koch Brothers are ready to pour millions of dollars into Pennsylvania to try to keep their friend Pat Toomey in the Senate,” said Lauren Passalacqua, DSCC National Press Secretary. “Unfortunately for the Kochs and Pat Toomey, no amount of money will hide Toomey’s record of putting special interests ahead of Pennsylvania families, and voters will remember that on Election Day.”
