Questions Around Sheehy’s Pattern of Lies After Washington Post Reveals Inconsistencies Around His Military Record & Claim He Lied to Law Enforcement

Questions are swirling around Tim Sheehy following the Washington Post’s report revealing that Sheehy gave “several inconsistent accounts” about wounds he received while deployed and said he lied to law enforcement. 

The Washington Post report is the latest article detailing the emerging pattern of inconsistencies, exaggerations and falsehoods Sheehy has told about his biography:   

• Sheehy’s “Rancher Bona Fides Are Coming Under Scrutiny” after Vanity Fair revealed he “presents himself as a Montana rancher” but actually uses his ranch for “marketing ventures,” “magazine covers” and “brand collaborations.” 

• Similarly, the Daily Beast revealed that “Sheehy Forgot to Mention the Family Money in His ‘Self-Made’ Success Story,” claiming to “bootstrap” his company but not revealing his business was boosted by the “six figure” investment and Wall Street connections his family gave him.
