In response to Senator Scott once again voting against even considering a government funding bill to avert Republicans’ government shutdown, Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee spokesperson Maeve Coyle issued the following statement:
“Once again, Scott is putting his petty, self-serving politics over Floridians’ best interests by pushing our government towards a devastating shutdown that would threaten veterans’ services and raise costs for hardworking Floridians. In 2024, Florida voters will hold Scott accountable by voting him out of office.”
The DSCC previously launched an advertising campaign highlighting how Scott’s government shutdown would threaten Social Security and raise costs.
