In response to Senator Ted Cruz voting against moving forward on the national security supplemental package, Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee spokesperson Amanda Sherman Baity issued the following statement:
“Cruz’s vote is a gift to the fentanyl traffickers at our border along with America’s adversaries in the Middle East, Russia, and China. Even as our country faces multiple threats, Cruz is putting his self-serving politics above America’s national security – and in 2024 Texas voters will hold him accountable.”
