After Republicans stopped Democratic efforts to overturn junk insurance plans that don’t cover pre-existing conditions, prescription drugs, emergency room visits and maternity care, NRSC Chair Cory Gardner said “Look, if they want to take away people’s health insurance and that’s what they’re campaigning on for the next several weeks, I think it’s a losing strategy.”
In response, today Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee Communications Director Lauren Passalacqua issued the following statement:
“One week ago they said this election would be about the Supreme Court. A few months before that it was going to be all about their tax scam. Today Republicans are defending the same thing they have all cycle: their losing health care agenda.”
