Congressman Cramer Still Supporting GOP Effort To Strike Down Pre-Existing Condition Coverage

It’s been more than a week since Republicans announced their latest, stunning effort to strike down coverage for pre-existing conditions and new reports confirm this decision could impact employer-provided coverage, as well – impacting thousands more North Dakotans in addition to the 316,000 North Dakota individuals who have pre-existing conditions. Still, Congressman Cramer is supporting the GOP’s health care agenda that jeopardizes coverage for pre-existing conditions.

“After a week spent refusing to stand up for North Dakotans who want insurance companies to cover pre-existing conditions, it’s clear Congressman Cramer is once again putting his own political self-interests ahead of his state,” said Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee spokesman David Bergstein. “Cramer supported a plan in Congress that would jeopardize coverage for pre-existing conditions, spike premiums, and impose an age tax on older Americans – so it’s no surprise he is refusing to speak out against this new attempt to sabotage North Dakota residents’ health care.”
