In response to Marco Rubio voting against the Inflation Reduction Act, Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee spokesperson Amanda Sherman-Baity issued the following statement:
“Rubio’s vote is the latest demonstration that he’s the kind of spineless politician who puts his own politics over the interests of Florida’s working families. The reason Rubio opposed this bill – even though it will lower costs like prescription drugs and tackle inflation – is simple: it’s paid for by making Big Pharma, Big Oil and the other mega-corporations that fund Rubio’s political campaigns finally pay their fair share. Florida voters will hold Rubio accountable by kicking him out of office in November.”
