In response to the House of Representatives voting to pass the Democrats’ Build Back Better Budget, Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee spokeswoman Jazmin Vargas released the following statement:
“Democrats are taking an important step forward to address Americans’ most pressing priorities: lowering costs like health care, cutting taxes for working families and growing good paying jobs here in our country — all while making sure Americans making under $400,000 won’t pay any new taxes. While Democrats deliver on our promises, Republicans are standing in the way of these popular proposals because they’re looking out for the ultra-rich and big corporations who will finally have to pay their fair share — and in 2022 voters will hold every GOP Senate candidate accountable.”
