In response to the Supreme Court’s decision today to not block “the Texas law that bans most abortions,” Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee spokeswoman Jazmin Vargas released the following statement:
“Today’s decision by the Supreme Court is a continued attack on abortion access made possible by the Republican Party’s long-standing crusade to strip health care coverage away from women and families. The stakes of 2022 have never been clearer: the freedom for women to make our own health care decisions is on the ballot and voters understand the importance of defending a Democratic Senate majority with the power to confirm or reject Supreme Court justices.”
