A new plan released by GOP Senate candidate Carlos Beruff is a not-so-subtle jab at Florida’s No-Show Senator Marco Rubio. From Beruff’s website:
Beruff’s plan is a “direct shot” at Rubio, who notably missed a whopping 41% of Senate roll call votes while running for President. And while Rubio loved to tout his role on the Senate Foreign Relations committee, a review of his record from 2011 to February of this year showed he missed 60 percent of the hearings held.
“Republicans publicly begging Marco Rubio to run for re-election should remember that Rubio’s spent his term in the Senate making clear to Floridians just how much he dislikes his current job,” said Lauren Passalacqua, DSCC National Press Secretary. “Carlos Beruff’s new plan is a reminder that Republicans’ supposed ‘savior’ is a terrible fallback option who spent months missing votes and putting his own political ambitions ahead of Florida voters.”
