In response to Senator Rick Scott voting again against bipartisan border security legislation that would secure the border, crack down on fentanyl trafficking, and keep Americans safe, Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee spokesperson Maeve Coyle issued the following statement:
“Scott’s vote puts him on the wrong side of border patrol agents who backed this bill, members of his own party who helped write it, and voters in Florida who want our border secured and a crackdown on the flow of fentanyl. Scott’s vote is the worst kind of self-serving politics, and it will give Floridians another compelling reason to fire him.”
Today the DSCC released new polling demonstrating the unpopularity of Scott’s position. Read the polling memo here.
