VOTE ALERT: Cruz, Scott Vote Against Bipartisan Border Security Legislation, AGAIN

In response to Senators Ted Cruz and Rick Scott voting again against bipartisan border security legislation that would secure the border, crack down on fentanyl trafficking, and keep Americans safe, Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee (DSCC) spokesperson Tommy Garcia issued the following statement:

“Cruz and Scott’s vote puts them on the wrong side of border patrol agents who backed this bill, members of their own party who helped write it, and voters in their states who want our border secured and a crackdown on the flow of fentanyl. Cruz and Scott’s vote is the worst kind of self-serving politics, and it will give voters in Texas and Florida another compelling reason to fire them.”

Today the DSCC released new polling demonstrating the unpopularity of Cruz and Scott’s position. Read the polling memo here.
